Just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean your skin has to suck. By making some changes to your daily routine, skincare regimen, and using the not only the right products, but clean products, you may be able to keep your skin looking glowing, soft, smooth, and vibrant all winter long.

1. Hydrate from the inside
The first step to keeping your skin healthy and glowing all year long is to make sure you’re staying well hydrated throughout the day. Not taking in enough fluid can affect the appearance of your skin and also make it more susceptible to drying out. If your body is dehydrated it’s going to show in your skin. Add some sliced lemon for an extra boost, your skin will love the vitamin c, which is an antioxidant and brightening agent.
2. Up your Nutrition
Focus on eating foods that are high in antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids, rich in vitamins, and anti-inflammatory compounds. Because the skin seems to be more sensitive and easily irritated through winter, you may want to consider shifting your routine slightly. First, off your skins natural moisture barrier is what helps protect you from the winter elements, so this needs to be healthy in order to respond well to additional booster products. To begin, you may want to look at switching to a more gentle cleanser, or a cream cleanser. Be sure to check the ingredients, your skin may be more sensitive to fragrance and alcohol this time of year. 4. SKIP THE HOT WATER

7. Amp up your humidity
Humidifiers help to add moisture back into the air, which can be especially helpful when indoor heating is cranked up in the winter months. Having more moisture in the air can help act as a natural moisturizing agent which, in turn, may prevent and relieve skin dryness. Keeping your indoor humidity levels between 30 and 50 percent, may help. If you’re unsure of your home’s humidity levels, you can purchase a humidity meter at any hardware store or on Amazon for a very low price.
8. Add Antioxidants to your Face
While you may be tempted to swap out your summertime favourites like your Vitamin C Serum, think twice!!
